On March 20th, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee welcomes back the sixth annual Lake Oconee Food & Wine Festival. The 2015 event has an incredible lineup that features acclaimed Atlanta chef and author Steven Satterfield and a live demonstration by Atlanta artist Thomas Arvid, known for his highly realistic paintings of wine. In addition to being an engaging weekend of fun for culinary aficionados, the event benefits local children’s arts and also education organizations.

Reynolds Lake Oconee’s globally acclaimed executive chef Edward G. Leonard, CMC, will share his new “Reynolds Lake Oconee cuisine” at the event as well. An accomplished author and one of only 71 master Chefs in the United States, Chef Leonard will be presenting a flavorful tasting menu that includes Scottish Salmon with Choucroute, Fingerlings and whole grain mustard, bacon veiled rouge chicken, watercress potato purée, English peas and bacon jus, along with spiced gulf shrimp, pork belly grits, confit of butternut and pecans.

The Food and Wine festival begins at 7 p.m. Friday, March 20 with a sponsors-only dinner at Linger Longer Steakhouse. A silent auction will take place throughout the evening of Saturday, March 21.

Satterfield, executive chef and co-owner of Miller Union and author of the new cookbook “Root to Leaf,” will headline a VIP experience, including a live cooking demonstration pairing farm-to-table cooking with carefully crafted cocktails.
