Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce the recipients of its Third Quarter Employee Awards for 2022. John Sitler, Head Golf Professional at The Preserve, has been named Leader of the Quarter, while Cagney Reese, Housekeeping, and Temetra Geter, Golf Operation - Landing, have been named Employees of the Quarter.

John Sitler was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, and worked as a Caddie Trainer for Augusta National Golf Club. It was there that he was recruited by a Lake Oconee resident to move to the area and was challenged to go all in with a career in the golf industry.

John has a vision of “one team, one dream.” He encourages his team to perform as a unified team, providing the highest level of customer service to Reynolds Lake Oconee Members and guests every minute of every day. John does an extraordinary job of leading by example to bring this vision to life. He has an incredibly calm and confident, yet humble, demeanor. Another attribute that helps him to be an outstanding leader is his innate ability to form respectful and personal relationships with everyone. This includes the Golf Course Maintenance team, Facilities Maintenance team, his team, and Members and guests.

“For me, it doesn’t get much better than working as a PGA Golf Professional,” says Sitler. “I am an extremely social person and always have been. So, the day-to-day interactions with our Membership, our community, my team at The Preserve as well as all of Reynolds has always been a perfect fit for me. As a bonus, I am part of this prestigious golf course every single day.”

In his spare time, John loves spending time with his wife, Teresa, and four amazing, but very busy, kids. His three boys Brady, Carson, and Sam play baseball, and his seven-year-old daughter, Molly, plays soccer, and he feels like he lives at some sort of ballfield. John also loves all sports associated with the University of Georgia and is a huge NASCAR fan.

Cagney Reese joined the Reynolds Housekeeping Team over nine years ago. Since then, she hasn’t missed a day, impressing both her supervisors and guests with her hard work, as she always makes sure everything is done before the day ends.

“The best part of my job is meeting new people and working in such a beautiful place where I can learn new things,” says Cagney. “I love having a job that offers security and wonderful benefits.”

When not keeping Reynolds clean and beautiful, Reese loves watching movies and being creative making designer cups. Before joining Reynolds, Reese worked at The Rock Eagle 4 –H Center in Eatonton.

Temetra Geter is a dedicated employee of Golf Operations at The Landing, and has been the Snack Bar attendant for over five years. She always goes the extra mile with Members and guests, making sure that they have an enjoyable experience whenever they stop by the Snack Bar.

“The favorite part of my job is getting to know my Members hands-on, working with great staff and managers,” Geter says. “I love working in such a beautiful place and taking in the beautiful Lake Oconee views.”

When not at The Landing Snack Bar you can find Temetra listening to music, watching and playing sports, and spending time with her husband, Roger Lee, and sons, LaVonte and Isiah. She also attends Ebenezer AME Church.
