In this week’s Q&A, we’re introducing Chip Perry, a Sales Executive whose deep roots in the Lake Oconee area give him a unique perspective on life at Reynolds. From his path into real estate to the joy he finds in helping clients uncover hidden gems, Chip shares what makes this community—and his role in it—so meaningful.

What do you love most about helping people find their home at Reynolds?
"Helping people find the right home here is something I truly enjoy. It’s rewarding to see someone step into a property and start picturing the memories they’ll make. I especially like helping clients discover places they might not have found on their own—whether it’s a home with unexpected charm or a homesite with hidden potential. Seeing them experience the lake and lifestyle for the first time is always a special moment."

How did you get started in real estate?
"I started my career with Kraft Foods and was offered a position that required relocating to Chicago. When I told my wife—who had grown to love Georgia—she said, “I really don’t want to leave.” We had a young son, and that moment changed everything. I decided to stay close to home and took a job with a developer in the mountains of North Georgia. Over time, I realized how strong my connection to Lake Oconee—where I grew up—still was. In 2011, we moved our family here so our boys could attend Lake Oconee Academy. By 2015, I was fully focused on real estate at the lake, and it’s been incredibly rewarding ever since."

What’s one thing that always impresses you about this community?
"It’s the combination of natural beauty and intentional leadership. Of course, the lake and scenery are a big part of what draws people in—but what stands out to me is how thoughtfully the community is maintained and improved. The leadership team is always thinking ahead, investing in what’s next, and finding ways to enhance the lifestyle for members. MetLife’s continued investment says a lot about the long-term vision for Reynolds, and I feel fortunate to be part of it."
