Chip Perry never forgot summers on the lake.

Chip Perry fell in love with Lake Oconee at an early age.

A native of Conyers, Georgia, his father traded a 1957 Thunderbird for a lake lot in 1979, just shortly after the formation of Lake Oconee. During his summers along the shores of the lake, wildlife was plentiful and it was more common for Chip to see a tent alongside the water than a finished home. Those memories stuck with Chip as he went to college — Georgia College & State University — and then as he started progressing through his real estate career. In 2012, Chip and his family — wife, Tina, and sons Jackson and Alex — moved back to the area and bought a home in Reynolds. Shortly thereafter, Chip began working for Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties.

It comes as no surprise that outside of work Chip enjoys being on the water. Boating, wake surfing, wakeboarding, lounging at The Lake Club — if it involves being outside on the water, he’s interested. It’s even better if his beloved dog, Lily, can be involved.

A lover of farm-to-table offerings, Chip enjoys 5&10 in Athens, as well as local favorites The Tavern and Gabby’s. The Lobster Grilled Cheese found at Gabby’s is his favorite. On Saturdays and Sundays during football season, you can find him there cheering on the Dawgs and Falcons.

Most of all, Chip enjoys being able to sell the lifestyle and place that he loves, while watching his boys grow up as he did (with a few small changes to the area).
