Picture yourself and your loved one immersed in the plush surroundings of The National Tavern, or at Richland Pointe where every detail has been meticulously curated to enhance the magic of the moment. Get ready for a Valentine's Day like no other, where the Southern spirit and romantic ambiance come together to create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Some of our amazing restaurant leaders created this guide to help you make the absolute most of your Valentine’s Day.

Tavern

  1. What specials are going on for Valentine’s Day at Reynolds Lake Oconee? Steak for 2: Grilled beef porterhouse served with garlic and parmesan smashed potatoes, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, and a a truffle chicken jus.
  2. Which table has the most romantic spot/view? The National Tavern’s back booth is the most private table in the restaurant during the winter. If a better view is desired, then our tables in the dining room that are located by the windows are the best choice. If the weather is permissive, our tables on the open-air veranda have an extremely inviting view that overlooks the golf course. If you are here at sunset, the view from those tables is unmatched anywhere in the restaurant.
  3. What wines are the most popular for a romantic evening? We have a Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list! If white wine is the preference, I would recommend the Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc or Joseph Drouhin Chardonnay. If red wine is desired I would recommend the Twomey Pinot Noir or Darioush “Caravan” Cabernet Sauvignon.
  4. What makes each restaurant a special place to take your “someone special?” The National Tavern is a special place to take your “someone special” due to the romantically lit booths & cozy fireplace. Our S’mores Brownie & Caramel Apple Bread Pudding are tasty dessert options to share if your valentine has a sweet tooth. Did I mention the vast lineup of wines to choose from? Outside, we have a gorgeous fire pit that is wonderful for having a cozy moment after dinner. If you prefer not to sit around the fire, there is a porch swing & couches on our veranda & also several chairs out on the edge of our putting green that has a spectacular view. There is something here for everyone!

Richland Pointe

  1. What specials are going on for Valentine’s Day at Reynolds Lake Oconee? We will still be running our normal menu to give options since we have a sushi menu as well as a regular menu.
  2. Which table has the most romantic spot/view? We believe Richland Pointe has one of the best views if not the best view at Reynolds. Table 64 has the best view for 2.
  3. What wines are the most popular for a romantic evening? We recommend a nice Riesling or Pinot Noir to pair with our food since some items have some spice.
  4. What makes each restaurant a special place to take your “someone special?” Richland Pointe is special because of our staff. We believe genuine hospitality starts at the front door and ends there. We are the only amenity on the property that offers sushi which is great for a romantic date night.

Eighty8 Dessert Special: Valrhona Inspirations Passion fruit mousse, Champagne gelee white chocolate truffles, dark chocolate sauce, “golden” raspberries.
