Over a period of several months earlier this year, we ran our highly anticipated Reynolds 360: You + Three Sweepstakes. On April 23rd, we drew Chris Milhous, a native of Marietta, Georgia, as our lucky winner. Chris, his wife Jessica, and his brother-in-law Jim Mott and his wife Janice visited Reynolds for their all-inclusive trip in June and documented the experience for us to share.
Day 1:
We pulled into Reynolds just after lunch and headed towards the National Golf Course and cottages to meet our host, Brian Gaydica. Just six weeks prior, Brian had notified me that I was the winner of the Reynolds 360 You + Three Sweepstakes - four days, three nights with amazing golf, fishing, sporting clays, and meals. Needless to say, the four of us were pretty anxious to get started. We were shown to our very luxurious golf cottage and were treated to an amazing array of merchandise from Fairway & Greene that included shirts, shorts, and jackets. It was an amazing spread.
Day 2:
Following a great breakfast at Eighty8 Kitchen, we headed over to Reynolds Kingdom of Golf presented by TaylorMade for a club fitting experience. We were in search of new drivers, irons, fairway woods, and hybrids. Our fitting experts were encouraging, knowledgeable, and talented. They started by observing our swing data and then recommended the optimal club heads and shafts. They were even able to make a couple of the clubs we selected right there on-site. Following a great lunch at The National Tavern, we headed over to The Preserve where, inspired by our club fitting, our A-games came out and the group went low with our best golf of the trip.
Day 3:
Following another great breakfast at Eighty8 Kitchen, we headed out to the Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds for our sporting and clay shooting experience. The ladies in the group were novices in shooting, yet were game to learn and try it out. Jim and Chris enjoyed the expert advice from our guide Jasper Copelan and the clays took a pounding. Afterward, we were off to The Oconee to take on an absolutely stunning course. Our last night was enjoyed with a chef-inspired dinner and wine pairing that was nothing short of spectacular. The food, service, and hospitality were simply off the charts.
Day 4 Fishing Departure:
On our final day, we were back up early as Jim and Chris hit the lake for a fishing experience. They were not left disappointed, as they hauled in several very large stripers and hybrid bass on Lake Oconee. It was a great wrap-up to an amazing experience. We would all like to give a special thanks to Reynolds Lake Oconee for their amazing hospitality and organizing an experience of a lifetime. Reynolds is truly a beautiful place and the golf and amenities were nothing short of spectacular.
