Reynolds Lake Oconee offers players some of the most dramatic golf scenery in the Southeast, with multiple holes coming into play along the shores of beautiful Lake Oconee. Just three years after its opening, Great Waters hosted the Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf (now the Accenture Match Play) in 1995, putting the golf course community on the map. Since then, Reynolds has continued to build on its solid history in hosting tournament play, having been the location for notable competitions that include the Linger Longer Invitational, the PGA Professional National Championship Golf Channel’s Big Break Invitational, and Justin Rose Junior All-Star Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
Reynolds Lake Oconee is proud to host the AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational, a 54-hole stroke play event played in October each year. With the field of 84 players determined by the Rolex AJGA Rankings and champions from the ACDS Junior All-Star Series, the Invitational caps off the season-long ‘Road to Reynolds' campaign.
We invite you to the inaugural Reynolds Cup presented by National Rental Car. The tournament features two-player teams consisting of top executives from across the nation competing on The Oconee course.
The Big Break Invitational is part of the Golf Channel popular Big Break franchise featuring a select field that encompasses past Big Break champions, including competitors who are currently playing on the world’s top professional tours, as well as the series’ most memorable competitors from the past 21 seasons.
Established as one of the premier men’s collegiate golf events in the nation, the Linger Longer Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee returns each Spring to continue an illustrious legacy of championship competition.
- The annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament features the nation’s top college football coaches and celebrity alumni partnered in two-man teams competing for their share of $540,000 in scholarship and charity prize money. Regulars for the tournament include Alabama's Nick Saban, Georgia’s Kirby Smart and Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson. Since 2007, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge has contributed more than $6 million in scholarship and charity.
The Rolex Tournament of Champions, a major championship conducted annually by the American Junior Golf Association was played at Great Waters in 2016. The tournament is an invitational for boys and girls ages 18 and younger and is considered as one of the most prestigious junior golf competitions in the world.
