Reynolds Lake Oconee is committed to providing excellence in golf instruction, golf products, and personal service. Each of our golf shops is home to a PGA Professional who oversees a staff of assistant professionals:

Wesley Forester

Director of Golf: Reynolds Lake Oconee

Wes Forester joined Reynolds Lake Oconee in 2006, as Head Golf Professional at the Plantation Course. A graduate of Elon University, he began his career in 1993, working at private clubs in the Northeast.  A skilled instructor, Forester has nearly 20 years of experience teaching all levels of players.

Ryan Macneill

Head Professional: Great Waters

Ryan was promoted to Head Professional at The Preserve in May of 2011. Formerly an Assistant Professional at the resort courses at Disney World, Ryan joined Reynolds Lake Oconee in 2006 as an assistant at The Preserve. In 2010 he was transferred to The National course and was the Lead Assistant at that operation, before returning to The Plantation in 2011. Ryan, a graduate of Coastal Carolina where he received a business degree in marketing, has been a Class A member of the PGA of America since 2006.

Jose Lopez

Head Professional: The Landing

Jose joined Reynolds Lake Oconee in 2006 as an Assistant Professional at The Preserve. He was appointed to be part of the opening professional team at the club member-only Creek Club opening in June 2007. Most recently Jose was the First Assistant at The Landing prior to his promotion in March 2012 to Head Professional.

Ryan Rios

Head Professional: The National

A former member of the United States Air Force and graduate from New Mexico State, Ryan first came to Reynolds Lake Oconee as an intern in the fall of 2010 at The Preserve. Ryan returned to Reynolds full time as an Assistant at The Landing in 2011. 

Ryan Frisch

Head Professional: The Oconee

Ryan began his career at Reynolds Lake Oconee in December 2004 as an assistant at National.   He transitioned to Great Waters in 2005 and became the tournament director of the entire community in 2007.  In May of 2008 he returned to the club operations as an assistant and has held lead assistant positions at Creek Club, National, Oconee and The Preserve.  In March of 2015, he was promoted to Head Professional at The Landing.

Logan May

Head Professional: The Preserve

Logan first came to Reynolds as an Intern from Ferris State University to work at The Landing. After graduation in 2012 Logan returned to Reynolds to become an Assistant Golf Professional at The National. In 2013, Logan received his Class A PGA Membership and continued his education with the PGA and received Certified Professional status in Golf Operations in 2016. Over the past two years, Logan has been the Lead Assistant at the Oconee.

Pamela Shelley

Head Golf Professional, Creek Club

Pamela comes to Reynolds from the Atlanta Athletic Club where she was a teaching professional for the past year. Pamela played college golf at Jacksonville University and after graduation became the Head Coach for several years. Pamela’s first position in golf was at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club where she worked for five years before moving to Sawgrass Country Club as an Assistant Golf Professional.
